One fashionable top and so many valuable sewing lessons! In this beginner sewing class, students will learn the basics of laying out a pattern on fabric, cutting out a pattern, transferring pattern markings, seaming, bust darts, finishing a hem, and a neckline binding. This beginner pattern is a versatile piece in the wardrobe and is just one pattern piece to sew together!

Class includes 3 hours of instruction + 2 hours studio time as needed

Project requirements:

    - Students will need to obtain the pattern prior to class from Seamwork Magazine https://www.seamworkmag.com/catalog/akita
    - Students must arrive to class with washed fabric and the pattern traced according to their size. SAVE PAPER+TIME - Show us your proof of purchase of the digital pattern and you may trace our already printed and assembled pattern in your size. Our Swedish Tracing paper is perfect for this! Please arrange to have this completed prior to start of class.
    - Fabric yardage based on your size-see size chart in Akita pattern
    - 1 yard bias tape (may be cut from fabric to match your blouse)
    - spool of matching thread
