UNWIND: Fabric Hexie Garland – April 16th

Posted on March 16, 2015 by Jennifer Swartzwelder | 0 comments

If you have spring fever and are in need of some color therapy, we have the project for you! Join us for our spring UNWIND where you can make a colorful hexie garland with all of your favorite colors. You can taste the rainbow or mix it up with prints and solids and let your color personality show through.

This garland is perfect to infuse some spring happiness into your decor. Hang it on a wall, mirror, mantle, or doorway, and we promise you will smile every time you walk by this garland.  While you’re stitching these little beauties, we’ll sip cocktails from our host, Maggie’s Farm Rum, to take us to warmer places.

You’ll receive instruction for this traditional paper piecing technique. While there are multiple ways to accomplish the task, we’ll be sharing one that is painlessly simple, allowing you to enjoy a bit of slow sewing. All tools and materials are provided to complete this garland featuring 12 double sided hexies.

If you’ve been curious about paper piecing or just love this modern use of a traditional technique, be sure to join us for a fun evening with other super cool makers! Feel free to bring a friend or come just to get away for a bit. We’ve had the best time getting to know the folks who come to stitch with us. We hope you are next!
