I like to imagine that the minute the Appleton dress pattern was revealed to the world, all of my fellow Full Bust Adjustment (FBA) comrades did a little happy dance because finally, there was a sewing pattern we could simply follow without hacking it up first. Cashmerette Patterns incorporate a FBA into the pattern (in sizes 12-28) and are divided up by cup size (C-H). I can attest to the fact that it felt oh so comforting to be able to measure myself and actually find my numbers AND my cup size. If you always have to do a FBA then you know what I'm talking about.

My joy doesn't stop there though as the Appleton is a classic, true wrap dress which is universally flattering, especially if your weight tends to fluctuate. I knew immediately that I wanted my first Appleton (I had an inkling that there would be more) to be in a solid or an understated print. I was looking for a Go-To Dress. The finished garment is one that I could not love more.

The dress came together like a dream. The pattern instructions were very thorough and well laid out.  I felt like a million bucks the day I wore this dress out into the world. You know it's a major sewing win when you get multiple inquiries at the grocery store as to where this dress could be purchased. That, my friends, is when you know a garment is working for you!
