Q: I am a local customer, can I pick up my order to avoid shipping costs?
A: You prefer to shop in your jammies, huh? Go ahead and enter code SHOPLOCAL at checkout. We'll prep your order and hold it at the shop for pickup during regular business hours. We'll let you know when your order is ready!
Q: I want a specific fabric or item that I don't see on your site, can you special order it for me?
A: At this time, we do not take special internet orders. However, we do have some additional inventory in our shop that may not be listed online. You can always call us or stop in to see if we have what you're looking for. If one of our usual items is currently out of stock and you’d like to see it back in the shop, do let us know and we can tell you if and when you can hope to see it in stock again.
Q: Can I order a fat quarter cut of fabric?
A: Fat quarters (a quarter of a yard cut to approximately 18″x22″) may be listed in some product descriptions where it constitutes the final quarter yard available for the fabric. In this case, you will automatically receive the Fat Quarter. However, during our final sale, we cannot accommodate fat quarter requests.
Q: Will I be charged sales tax on my fabric purchase?
A: Pennsylvania residents will be charged a 6% sales tax on purchases with the exception of apparel fabrics. If you reside in Allegheny County, you will also be charged an additional 1% local sales tax.
Q: I have a problem with my online order, what should I do?
A: We know technology isn’t always perfect. We are more than happy to confirm if your order came through correctly or to assist you in any way! You can always email us directly at email@example.com or give us a call at 412.481.1985.
Q: I've signed up for a class and now I can't make it. What happens?
A: Please let us know as soon as possible, either by phone or email. In most cases, if you notify us at least a week before the class begins, we will be able to offer you a credit toward a future class or merchandise.
If it is less than a week out, but you notify us at least 72 hours prior to the start of class, we will attempt to fill your spot. If we are able to do so (yay!), we will offer you a credit toward a future class. However, if we are unable to fill your spot on such short notice, you will forfeit your class fee.
If you choose to cancel within 72 hours of the class, you will forfeit your class fee.
