Recently, we shared our excitement with you over the new line of American Made Brand cotton solids, available in the shop, and now we want to spread news of AMB’s Celebrating Farm to Fabric Challenge, a juried exhibition of quilts made exclusively from AMB solids that speak to the theme Celebrating Farm to Fabric. Registration has just begun and the deadline is August 15. Spool is taking part and we hope you will join us as we celebrate and support American made fabric!

The wide range of colors in the American Made Brand line of cotton solids allows you to take this challenge in many different directions. We finally decided on our palette and are anxious to get started! The call for entries is open until August 15 and, keep in mind, the minimum quilt size is only 25″ x 25″ so you have plenty of time to make something small if you choose to do so!

Each quilt tells a story and we cannot wait to see how the quilts reflect your interpretation of what it means to you, your family, or your community to bring fabric production back to America to use in your American made quilts.
